The firm has adequate expertise to conduct research and training in various fields, including housing in urban areas. The scope and depth of research and training is tailored to specific needs of the client. The firm has staff experienced in working with a wide range of clients and communities. The staff in the firm has been involves in training and management of local authorities in Kenya.
Electricity and Communication Network Planning and Development
This includes planning and development of electricity and communication projects. This covers identification of development site, distribution route and wayleave assessment, and telecommunication and broadcasting stations and facilities
Utility Mapping, Planning and Management
Kent Bill provides expertise to municipal authorities and service providers to improve administration and management. Services provided include mapping of service network, administration of bill accounts, and conducting consumer market survey.
Firm Organization Structure
The firm organization and administrative structure is outlined on figure 1-1. The organizational structure is split along the key technical mandates of the firm.

This includes planning, design and management of housing, water supply, wastewater disposal, drainage, and solid waste disposal management.
Structural Design and Construction
This covers the design and supervision of various building works, including foundations and earthworks.
Environmental Impact Assessment/Environmental Audit
Conducting Environmental Impact Assessments/Audits for various development projects.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Kent Bill provides consultancy services to ICT firm/companies in projects related to town/physical planning.
Transportation Planning and Development
This covers undertaking transportation studies, planning, design and management of transport facilities including roads, railway, air and water transport facilities.
Project Development, Monitoring and Evaluation
Kent Bill assists clients in preparation of projects development reports including project proposals. The firm undertakes monitoring and evaluation of multi-sectoral projects. This includes housing projects, engineering and transport works, social economic development projects, and natural conservation.
